The Serpent’s Peak - Better Known as Nag Tibba standing tall at the maximum altitude of approx. 9915 ft is one of the most popular treks near Dehradun. It lies in the Garhwal region in the lower Himalayas near Mussoorie.
Nag Tibba is the perfect trek for camping during springs and summers and the most suitable trek throughout the winter when all the treks in the higher himalayan region are closed due to heavy snowfall. At its peak there is a small temple enshrined where one can have a panoramic view of the entire Banderpunch ranges of the Great Indian Himalayas towards the Yamunotri Side.
At night during the Campsite you can enjoy the Bonfire with the fellow trekkers under the sky stargazing. As you descend down the summit, charming villages and the alluring Deodar forest will welcome you warmly giving you a refreshing atmosphere to make your tiredness go away. Due to its easy assess and level of challenges anyone with the normal fitness can do this trek.
Departure Dates :- Everyday Departures
-Altitude: 7500 ft
-Drive from Dehradun to Pantwari (85kms,4-5 hrs)
-Trek:- 4-5 kms approx for 3 hrs
-Trekkers will be picked from Dehradun Railway Station by 7:00 am
-Night Stay in camps
-In the morning your journey from railway station to pantwari village via mussoorie and famous tourist spot Kempty falls. Pantwari is a small village in garwhal region of uttarakhand. After reaching pantwari you will have a hike through rocky trail of 4-5 kms. During the trek you will find 2-3 water sources for filling your bottles. After a trail of 3 hrs finally you will reach the Nag tibba base camp.
-Altitude: 10000 ft
-Trek:- 2-3 kms approx for 1-1.5 hrs
-Trekkers will be dropped back to dehradun by 8:00 pm.
-In Early morning around 6 am after breakfast you will start your climb to the Nag tibba Summit. After the visit to the Nag Devta Temple near the base camp you will move towards the summit through the thick covered forest. The trail is little moderate due to the steep incline in between.
-One can enjoy the views of Bandarpooch, Gangotri, Kedarnath etc after reaching the summit as it is the highest mountain in the lower Garwhal Himalayan range. After spending some time at the peak you will descend to pantwari. You will reach pantwari village by 3-4:00 pm and we will drop you back at the railway station by 8:00 pm.
